Mai Li has been introducing others to polyamory for over a decade, and working to build community for polys under 40 since 2008. Her goal: to bring a poly subculture to fruition built on the intersection of their diverse values and interests, that celebrates their diversity and unique sexual and relationship identities, both as individuals and as a group. As a founding organizer of the More! Party in Seattle, she spearheaded designing monthly events which regularly draw 60+ attendees to dance, network, and socialize. She also built simple planning systems and molded innovative volunteer staff models for the More! Party organizers to help prevent burnout. In August of 2009, she co-founded ModernPoly with four other activists across the United States with similar goals, focusing on developing the image and brand of ModernPoly, social networking, fundraising, PR/target marketing, project selection, and creating the "voice of the movement" e-zine. By early 2010 she joined the Poly Leadership Network to become connected other leaders in the movement at large.Mai Li continues to develop events and parties in the Seattle area and work towards creating resources for polyamorous culture nationwide. A musician by day, her first solo album is scheduled for release in Fall 2011.

Randy has been a poly organizer and activist since 2006, only shortly after he and his wife opened their relationship. His work focuses on building community infrastructure, creating outreach, and the art of sculpting and slashing red tape for the greater good.
Besides working on the business end of ModernPoly, Randy has been a council member of MNPoly since 2006 and a board member of the Bisexual Organising Project (BOP) since 2007. He has organised and built business infrastructure for both groups, steering them into becoming non-profit organisations and substantially increasing their operating budgets. As a council member for MNPoly, he builds community and promotes healthy polyamory practices at social settings. As a board member for BOP, he has grown the nationally-recognized BECAUSE conference and developed bisexual awareness seminars for Target and other companies. Randy hopes to shape the national image of polyamory through his work, both to increase its visibility for people who wish to find others like themselves, and to streamline
and unify disparate factions in the poly movement itself. He also hopes his work will help the movement avoid pitfalls other civil rights movements have encountered in the past.
Randy is a lifelong resident of Minnesota. He resides in Minneapolis/St. Paul with his wife and her other partners. He's happily in a semi-open "V," married since 1995 and engaged since 2010. By day, he works as an in-home caregiver for the elderly and terminally ill.
